This article will go through which web browser is most recommended to use while using the ScreenCloud website for digital signage.

Table of contents:

1. Recommended browsers

2. Which browsers are not recommended?

1. Recommended browsers

Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox are recommended to use while browsing the ScreenCloud website. These browsers are most optimized for the ScreenCloud website and provide you with the best experience and performance while using our digital signage software. Chrome and Firefox are also most recommended for an overall better browsing experience on other websites as well due to their native ecosystems and robust performance.

  • To download Mozilla Firefox, click here.

Please note that intermittent glitches or bugs are prone to happen on any web browser when visiting any website, not only ScreenCloud. We understand if the recommended browsers are not preferred, may not be an option, or Chrome/Firefox are experiencing an issue. We recommend to try and troubleshoot your browser by clearing your cache.

2. Which browsers are not recommended?

For ScreenCloud, browsers such as Safari, Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, and Opera are not recommended. You might experience bugs or glitches while using ScreenCloud's website, such as not being able to drag and drop content into a playlist, delete apps from your content library, or challenges updating payment information. If you are using any of these browsers, we recommend switching to Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox

Please note for users browsing with Safari on iOS/macOS devices: if you're experiencing log in issues to the website and are continuously redirected back to the sign-in page on a loop, this is due to a new setting on the Safari browsers named "Prevent cross-site tracking". For the ScreenCloud Studio (https://studio.screencloud.com) platform to work across these browsers, this setting must be turned off for now. We generally recommend using Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox alternatively instead of Safari as a long-term browser platform, though if it's your browser of preference this setting can be turned off.

You can do this by generally accessing Settings > Preferences > Privacy on your respective iOS/macOS device.
