This article will go through how to set up using Single Sign-On (SSO) access to your ScreenCloud account. Please note, this feature is only available on the ScreenCloud Studio (2019) platform.
Table of contents:
1. What is Single Sign-On (SSO) and which services are available?
Single Sign-On (SSO) is a user authentication session service that allows users to manage one set of login credentials to access multiple services or applications. For example, this is useful and commonly used for security purposes across organizations, enterprise companies, or individuals to help minimize using multiple login credentials. It gives you the convenience and flexibility to manage quick access to websites and resources using one sign-in method.
ScreenCloud uses secure services like auth0 and we currently support the following:
You can also currently manage up to 100 users per account.
2. Is there any additional cost for SSO and set up?
SSO is an extra add-on feature for your ScreenCloud account. For more information on pricing costs for SSO, please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org to connect with a member of our team for pricing information and setup.
3. How to use SSO to sign into ScreenCloud
Once our team has set up your SSO integration, we'll provide you with a confirmation and you'll be able to log in using either method below.
i) Sign in using your service provider
You can access ScreenCloud directly through your service provider's website which you've set up SSO with. For this example, we'll walk through how to do this using the service Microsoft Azure.
3.1. Get started by visiting your service provider's website and log in with your email address.
3.2. Once you're logged in, visit your integrations managed in your account for SSO connections. Find and click on "ScreenCloud".
3.3. The system will automatically redirect you to the "Screens" dashboard of your ScreenCloud account linked with the SSO email address.
ii) Sign in using ScreenCloud
You can also sign in directly using the "Login using SSO" button if you'd like by visiting ScreenCloud's main website at https://screencloud.com.
3.4. To use SSO, click on the "Login using SSO" button while trying to log into your ScreenCloud account.
3.5. When you click this option, you're prompted to enter the name of your organization name that's being used for the ScreenCloud account. For example, if your ScreenCloud organization was created under the name "Corporate Comms" you would enter this into the "Organization name" form.
3.6. Once you enter the name of your organization, click "Continue".
3.7. If your ScreenCloud account has been activated with the SSO feature, you'll receive a prompt to connect with your service provider. For example, if your system is Microsoft Azure you'll get the option to sign in using Azure AD. Click on the "Sign in" button to continue.
3.8. Next, log into your service provider's account. Please note, if you're having any issues signing into your service provider's account, we recommend to first troubleshoot with your email administrator. If you've confirmed no issues internally with the account, please reach out to email@example.com with your account information for more help.
3.9. Once you sign in successfully, you'll be automatically directed to a brief message that your system is connecting and load your ScreenCloud dashboard.
You're all set with your SSO connection to ScreenCloud.
4. How can I manage or remove users from logging in via SSO?
You can manage and remove users directly from your identity provider's website. For example, if you've set up SSO using the service Okta you can access your credentials and user management directly from your Okta account.
