This article will run you through which displays we recommend from Philips line of Professional Displays as well as give you a step by step tutorial on how to set up ScreenCloud on your Professional Displays for digital signage.

Its powerful SOC ensures crisp and stable content is constantly provided due to interruption from video transmissions that can occur with external media players.
Although Philips manufacture many great displays, certain Android versions offer very different user experiences. Because of this, we only recommend Philips displays running Android 7.1.2 or higher as we have thoroughly tested this version with our ScreenCloud app.
This tutorial is suited only for Philips displays version 7.1.2 and up which are:

Section I: Prepare Your External USB Stick or SD Card
1. Prepare to Side Load the ScreenCloud APK File
1.1. Prepare a USB stick or SD card.
1.2. Open a browser and search https://release.screen.cloud/
1.3. Download the second link that says "Android (arm)" onto either a USB stick or SD card.
1.4. Next, insert the SD card or USB stick into the designated slots.
Section II: Installing ScreenCloud
After you unpack your display and power on your display, you will be presented with a few configuration settings.
2.1. First, on the Welcome screen, select which language you would like to use on your display, and then select "Start"
2.2. Next, on the Network Settings page, select which network connection you would like to use and configure the required settings. Either "WIFI" or "Ethernet", then select "Next".
If you select "Ethernet" configure your DHCP or Static IP Settings. If you selected "WIFI", enter the password for your wifi.
2.3. Next, on the Signage Display Settings page, select "Skip" if you would like to start from a fresh display, and your Setup is complete!
2.4. At this point your display will enter its Android PD Launcher screen which is a black page shown below:
Note: Exiting an app back pressing the "back" key on the remote will automatically bring you to this page. A hint image will display for 5 seconds to notify you are on this page.
2.5. To start setting up your device you must first enter "Admin Mode" by pressing the "Home button" then immediately after press "1888" on the keypad of the remote.
If you are prompted to enter a password. The default password is "1234". You will then be presented with this screen:
Note: To change the password for to "Settings" > "Signage Display" > "System Tools" > "Change Administrative Password".
2.6. Next, navigate to the "Apps" folder > locate the "mnt" folder > then locate the "usb_storage" folder.
2.7. Select and Open the ScreenCloud APK file. It will ask you if you want to install the application, go ahead and click "Install".
Note: This next step is very important. You will want to create a custom source for the ScreenCloud Digital Signage app.
2.8. Navigate back to the "Settings App" > Scroll down till you see "Signage Display" and navigate down and click on "Custom App".
2.9. Select "Custom App" and set the "ScreenCloud App" as the custom source and click "Save".
2.10. Next, select the "Source" button on your remote, a menu should open up, scroll down and select "Custom" at the bottom of the menu. Your ScreenCloud app should boot up immediately.
Note: In the event your display turns off, it will turn back on to the last used source, so always make sure to set your source to "Custom" if you would like your display to launch ScreenCloud when it turns on.
